Instructional Designer

Location: Remote | Department: Knowledge Management | Full-Time

Are you a detail-driven instructional designer who thrives on strategic clarity, consistent timelines, and organizational commitment to continual improvement? Do you love making training simpler, sharper, and smarter, not just more of it? Join us and help transform how we scale education for our fast-growing software platform.

We’re seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support our software release cycle by ensuring our training materials, videos, and eLearning content stay perfectly in sync with every product update. You’ll take ownership of version tracking, content consolidation, and reducing training clutter, so our teams and partners always have the right information, at the right time, in the right format.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own the training impact review process for every product release: identify affected materials and immediately drive updates across guides, eLearning modules, and instructional videos.
  • Proactively maintain and update our library of learning assets in real-time, to eliminate backlog and rework.
  • Use tools like Articulate 360 (especially Rise and Storyline) and Camtasia to create, edit, and publish engaging, accurate content.
  • Auditing and consolidating redundant or outdated training, creating fewer but more effective learning assets.
  • Partner with SMEs, product owners, and release managers to anticipate changes and plan for smooth content rollouts.
  • Support video creation and follow brand guidelines by maintaining a consistent, branded style and ensuring videos map to current software functionality.
  • Work inside our LMS (Magentrix) and project tools (Atlassian) to manage deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional visibility.
What You Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design for a SaaS or tech-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to track, manage, and edit content tied to software updates, across written, video, and interactive formats.
  • Mastery of Articulate Rise & Storyline, Camtasia, and common design/editing tools.
  • Strong eye for microcopy and UX clarity: you believe good instruction is clean, direct, and intuitive.
  • Experience managing projects in collaboration with product, engineering, and support teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills: you don’t let versioning, deadlines, or details slip through the cracks.
  • Ability to work independently and think strategically about reducing training volume through smarter design and better systems.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with LMS platforms and Tin Can API compliant systems.
  • Familiarity with telecoms or cloud communications concepts.
  • Background in knowledge management, content ops, or technical writing
